Founded on January 7, 1947, State Employees Inc. (SEI) has spent over seven decades serving the men and women who dedicate their lives to public service. What began as a community of state employees has grown into a nationwide nonprofit reaching first responders, educators, healthcare workers, veterans, and military personnel across the country.
We operate with a 100% volunteer board — every dollar goes directly to expanding member benefits and community programs. No paid executives. No bloated overhead. Just mission-driven people doing the work.
SEI is fiscally sponsored by FAS, a 501(c)(3) organization, making your support grant-eligible and tax-advantaged. Our Afford Today program provides emergency relief and financial assistance to members facing hardship.
