Volunteers are essential to the advancement of nonprofit organizations and deserve to be recognized. The more effective nonprofit organizations are at gaining, developing, and maintaining a dedicated, committed, and highly identified voluntary workforce, the more likely nonprofit organizations will succeed in achieving organizational missions and have a more significant influence on the economy.
